Sometimes I wish I was a dragon.
Why a dragon you ask?
Simple.
Let me explain.

I wish I had a dragon's size.
So I can know what it feels like to be tall
Large,
Unmovable,
Unchangeable,
Unattainable.
That's why I want a dragon's size.

I wish I had a dragon's skin.
To have a hide of scales which no sword can cut.
To have no weakness,
And not be vulnerable.
That's why I want a dragon's skin.

I wish I had a dragon's legs.
So I can run faster then anyone can or will be able to.
To be able to run from anything,
Anyone,
Everyone,
Everything.
That’s why I want a dragon's legs.

I wish I had a dragon's claws.
So if anyone tries to fight me I can fight back.
To show that I'm strong.
To show I can't be pushed around.
That’s why I want a dragon's claws.

I wish I had a dragon's tail.
So if I need to hold someone,
I can hold it close,
And know there's someone there with me.
Even if there isn't.
That’s why I want a dragon's tail.

I wish I had a dragon's horns.
So they can point me out in a crowd.
So they show I'm unique,
Special,
Alone.
That’s why I want a dragon's horns.

I wish I had a dragon's eyes.
So I can look off in the distance,
And see someplace away from here,
Further,
Unseen,
Better.
And go there.
That’s why I want a dragon's eyes.

I wish I had a dragon's teeth.
So I can give anyone a bit,
So if a expose them,
Anyone will leave me alone.
And never come back.
That’s why I want a dragon's teeth.

I wish I had a dragon's tongue.
Sharper than any blade,
So that I can return any thing thrown at me,
And have the last laugh for once.
That’s why I want a dragon's tongue.

I wish I had a dragon's voice.
Full of presence,
Of power,
Of command,
So anyone will hear my calls.
And hear my cries.
That’s why I want a dragon's voice.

I wish I had a dragon's fiery breath.
So if things overwhelm me,
I can just burn it all,
And make it go away,
Make them all go away.
That’s why I want a dragon's fiery breath.

I wish I had a dragon's mind.
Always thinking,
Always knowing everything about everyone,
And myself.
That why I want a dragon's mind.

I wish I had a dragon's heart.
Large and ever-beating,
Surrounded by muscle, bone and tendon and skin,
So none can harm it,
Reach out and squeeze it,
So none can break it.
That why I want a dragon's heart.

Most of all,
I wish I had a dragon's wings.
So I can float on high,
And look down on them all,
And know they can't see me,
Can't reach me,
Feel the breeze,
And know that I am safe,
Protected,
All-seeing,
Free.
That’s why I want a dragon's wings most of all.
